ABOUT ME
Hey! I'm Josh and I am a wildlife and nature photographer based out of Maryland. I've always enjoyed the outdoors from a young age, but my interest in photography sparked after watching countless nature documentaries. I wanted to capture moments such as the ones I was watching, so I went hiking at a local park and snapped some frames of the nearby wildlife on an old family camera. I basically haven't put a camera down since. Overtime, photography has became a creative outlet and a way to showcase the natural world in a visual manner. Although no photo can fully express the true beauty of nature, I hope to tell compelling stories through my lens and paint the picture of the awe and wonder that exists all around us. Whether I am photographing local wildlife in a neighborhood pond or exploring a new environment while traveling, photography totally captivates my attention, and I am constantly learning new things in the field every day. I have experimented with many different styles and mediums of photography, and I find it rewarding to capture a moment in time that others can find value in viewing. Overall, wildlife photography has quickly become one of my biggest passions, and I find myself excited to learn more about this craft as I attempt to capture moments creatively.
As a photographer, I have had the privilege of working with several companies and partnering with some incredibly inspiring groups of people. Along with crafting my portfolio, I have spent much of my time over the years presenting educational talks and programs to camera clubs around the country, leading workshops in the field, collaborating with local artists and environmental groups, or adventuring on sponsored travels.
