EUROPE
The city of Assisi, Italy bursts with color as the last remaining rays of light hit the hillsides. From Italian vineyards to the towering Alps of Austria, the variety of landscapes found in Europe offer an endless photographic canvas. Thanks to the Franciscan University Austria Program and Hunts Photo & Video, I was able to work as the lead student photographer for a semester and embrace the places I traveled to through the medium of photography.
Founded in 1991, the Franciscan University Austria Program allows for students to spend a semester living in the heart of Austria, from which travel throughout Europe is accessible. I had the opportunity to work as the lead student photographer for a spring semester, in which I traveled to various countries with camera gear from Hunt's Photo & Video, and photographed both the new sights around me and the candid moments that brought the semester to life. It was a life changing few months in which I was able to experience art and culture through my lens.

Hidden amidst the Austrian Alps, the small town of Gaming is home to the Kartause Monastery, where everyone part of this program and myself lived for 4 months.

From catching trains between cities, learning from locals in a cafe, exploring mountainous landscapes, and making memories with friends, traveling throughout Europe and capturing the experiences through photography was truly unforgettable.

The time I spent in Europe was unforgettable. From meeting new friends, talking to professors about art, photographing the scenes in front of me, and learning about a new part of the world, I feel so blessed to have been apart of this experience. Working as a photographer and capturing the many memories from the semester was an opportunity I will always be grateful for.
